FRESH HOPE ON HEALTH CARE AS BOAT AMBULANCE HITS THE LAKE VICTORIA WATERS

Remember the ultra-modern Boat ambulance donated to the County Government of Homa Bay last month? The machine has finally been put on water, ready to serve the residence of various islands on lake Victoria. US Ambassador, Robert Godec finally flagged off the Homa bay ambulance, alongside others for Siaya and Busia, during a colourful ceremony at Usenge Beach in which Deputy Governor Hamilton Orata represented the County Government of Homa Bay.

Mr Orata assured the Ambassador that the boat will be put to good use and will help in referral of patients and expectant mothers from the islands to better equipped hospitals on the mainland.
The boat ambulance hit the waters barely one month after the County received a well equipped Mobile Clinic from First lady Margaret Kenyatta.
